The First Post

For four (No, five? Six?) years, I’ve hemmed and hawed… I’m not interesting enough! No, I have too many interests and not enough focus! I don’t have enough time! I don’t have a nice enough camera! And the biggest: what the heck would I name the darn thing! It needs a brilliant name. And the second biggest: It’s too late! Everyone and their brother already has a blog… it’s Too Late to start my own.

OK. Fine. Here is goes. The name might not be brilliant (in fact, as I type this, it doesn’t even have a name!), but here’s the first post. Yes, I’m four, five, six, ten years too late to be original. And, nope, I still don’t have a focus. But here it goes anyway.

Unfortunately… I’ve done a ton of interesting things already and didn’t blog about any of them: completely finished and decorated a 100+-year-old house from scratch (focus #1: this is a home blog); gardened every year, made two rain barrels, canned fruit and vegetables galore, made my own cleaning supplies (focus #2: this is a outdoors/green living blog); eaten super healthy and partially vegan due to being an Orthodox Christian, gone on cleansing diets, tried weird foods (focus #3 and #4: this is a healthy living/food blog and OC blog); gone on road trips, overseas, to the beach, etc. with my husband (focus #5: this is a traveling and family blog); I have pets (focus #6: this is a pet blog); and, oh yeah, I also work a full-time job as an editor and writer, do yoga, and just started taking piano lessons (focus #7, 8, 9). See? I told you: I have no focus.

In fact, I’m sure there’s more… I guess this is just a life blog! I didn’t want it to be. But, so be it. Here’s hoping that I still have interesting things to write about.
