About

Hi, I'm Rebekah! Welcome to Here Goes Something.

That's me and my hubby of 3+ years, Brian. I am a writer and editor for a regional women's magazine and he's an art teacher. Together, I think we make a cute and kooky little pair. Usually, you can find us undertaking some fun (OK, and sometimes frustrating!) projects… whether that’s renovating and decorating a 120+-year-old house, gardening in our .05 acre backyard, eating super healthy, going on road trips, and oh yeah planning for the future. Along with all that, I also do yoga, take piano lessons, and generally like to keep buuusy (I’m originally from the East Coast, what can I say?). All in all, I’ve become a regular Midwest folk with a slight “living large” twist: I go to church, I live simply, I try to think positively whenever possible, but God help me if you try to serve me grocery store sushi. (Or, try to make me say 'Hoosier,' or 'sack' instead of 'bag,' or any other of that weird Indiana lingo).

Here, my main focus is simply the celebration of life, whether that means whipping up a big pot of potato soup, enjoying a hike or canoe trip through a state park or building a rain barrel out of a former pepperoncini barrel on a random Tuesday night.

On this blog you will find a little bit of my everyday life written in my own, slightly ridiculous tone. Enjoy!
